Barcelona set to look at alternatives for Arsenal star

La Liga side Barcelona are set to turn their attentions to alternatives right-backs as Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin looks set to stay at the Gunners this summer, according to Marca.

As reported by Marca, Bellerin has been Barcelona’s first choice in their pursuit for a new right-back, a position that the club have failed to successfully fill following the departure of Dani Alves in 2015, however the Gunners seem to be reluctant to let the Spaniard leave.

With this news, the former La Liga champions are set to go after alternatives targets, with Monaco’s Djibril Sidibe, Benfica’s Nelson Semedo, Valencia’s Joao Cancelo, Real Sociedad’s Alvaro Odriozola and Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich all on Barca’s radar, as per Marca.

Should Barcelona end up falling short in their pursuit of Arsenal man Bellerin, which looks likely, they certainly have some decent alternatives lined-up as the club try to fill the Dani Alves-shaped hole that was left just over two years ago.
