“Overweight, unfit and didn’t care” – Man Utd fans blast star after poor display

Man Utd defender Luke Shaw featured for the club’s U23s side on Sunday against West Ham United, and it’s fair to say supporters were not impressed with him.

The Red Devils lost the game 4-2, but the focus for some was on the 22-year-old and it seems many are starting to give up on him.

The England international has made just one appearance for the senior side so far this season as he continues in his bid to regain full fitness after persistent injury problems.

While many did point out that he clearly isn’t fit yet, it’s not an excuse that others are buying as they also questioned his commitment and desire in the outing, with a video being posted of an inexcusable effort to get back and defend.

Shaw has had his issues with Jose Mourinho, with the Man Utd boss not afraid to publicly call him out since he arrived at Old Trafford, as reported by The Guardian. On the basis of the comments below, it doesn’t look as though the Portuguese tactician will be in a rush to integrate Shaw back into his starting line-up.

It will be a huge disappointment if Shaw can’t rediscover his best form that earned him the move to United in the first place, especially given the Premier League giants are competing on various fronts this season and could do with additional quality and depth in key positions.
