Man Utd fans revel in return of ‘Agent Pogba’ as they call for superstar signing

Man Utd midfielder Paul Pogba earned himself a nickname this past summer after seemingly putting in work to help get Romelu Lukaku to join the club.

As seen in the Instagram post below, the French international added an ‘Agent P’ hashtag as he shared a video of Lukaku confirming that he would be joining him in pre-season training after agreeing his move to Old Trafford.

The nickname stuck and has come to the fore again as United supporters took to Twitter to react to a post from Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann which shows the pair embracing after France’s win over Wales in Paris on Friday night.

Pogba is currently sidelined through injury and so wasn’t able to play, but he attended the game at the Stade de France to offer his support and reunited with Griezmann after the game.

It was enough to send tongues wagging as Man Utd fans got pretty excited over the possibility that ‘Agent Pogba’ was back at work and on the way to helping to convince his compatriot to join him at Old Trafford.

As noted by The Mirror, the Red Devils have been linked with swooping for the 26-year-old, and many seemingly believe that Pogba could play a part in sealing the deal.

Griezmann has struggled to find his best form so far this season, scoring just three goals and providing three assists in 13 outings in all competitions. With tallies of 25, 32 and 26 goals in his three seasons with Atleti prior to this year, he has some way to go to match those feats while Man Utd fans appear to be eagerly awaiting some movement on the transfer front.
