Chelsea are reportedly considering a move to sign Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland amid fears over Thibaut Courtois’ future at the club.
Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are rumoured suitors for the Belgium international, who recently confirmed he was not planning to hold talks over a new contract with Chelsea until the summer, when he would have just a year to run on his deal.
Marca have linked Courtois as one of Real Madrid’s top targets in recent times, while Don Balon have suggested he’s weighing up leaving the Blues as he doubts if he can win the Champions League with his current club.
One of the best ‘keepers in the world on his day, there’s no doubt Courtois would need a top class replacement at Stamford Bridge, and the Daily Mail now claim that man could be Butland.

The England international has impressed at Stoke and the Mail claim Chelsea also tried to sign him earlier in his career.
Butland would now be ready to come in as Chelsea’s number one straight away, and could ease the blow of Courtois’ departure.
However, he won’t come cheap, with the Mail claiming Stoke would ask for more than £30million for the 24-year-old.
That shouldn’t be too much for Chelsea, however, who spent big on a large number of new signings this summer, bringing in Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger, Alvaro Morata, Davide Zappacosta and Danny Drinkwater.
