Man United youngster Angel Gomes has put the rumours linking him with a move away from Old Trafford to bed, after the player signed a new deal with the Red Devils.
This is according to the Mirror, who state that Gomes, 17, had been linked with a move to a number of the biggest clubs in Europe, and that the midfielder has signed a new deal with Jose Mourinho’s side.
The Sun have reported in the past that Barcelona may have been interested in Gomes, however following this news, it seems as if the player is happy to stay in England for the time being.
Gomes has been exciting United fans recently with his appearances at youth level, with the player making his full senior debut for the club last season only adding to the hype.
In 25 appearances for Man United’s U18’s so far, the midfielder has managed to score 15 times and assisted seven, a formidable record.
At international level, Gomes has also been impressive fans and critics alike with his performances.
In 12 appearances for the Three Lions’ youth side, the attacking midfielder has been able to contribute five goals, as well as helping the side win the U-17’s World Cup this past summer.
