There could be a few concerns at Chelsea amid speculation in France that Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing a move for N’Golo Kante this summer.
The 26-year-old has been an almost ever-present for Antonio Conte since signing for the Blues before last season, helping them win the Premier League title last year while he remains a pivotal figure in their plans now.
With 41 appearances to his name in the last campaign, the French international was a consistent and influential presence in midfield, showing his class and importance having won the title with Leicester City the previous year.
In turn, there are no question marks over how crucial he can be for his side, and so that makes Le 10 Sport’s claim that PSG are interested in signing him not the least bit surprising.
With veteran Thiago Motta on his way out at the end of the season, the French giants have a void to fill in their midfield and it seems Kante has been identified as the perfect man for the job.
Offering a return home, a chance to challenge for major honours year on year and arguably more money given their spending power in previous transfer windows, it could be an attractive proposition for Kante. It remains to be seen whether or not it’s enough to prise him away from Stamford Bridge.
