Man Utd are being heavily linked with completing a deal for Alexis Sanchez this week, but another target appears to be hinting he’s set for a switch too.
The Chilean international isn’t the only player to be paired with a move to Old Trafford, with The Guardian noting that he’s closing in on securing a move.
Speculation has linked Paris Saint-Germain star Lucas Moura with a move to the Manchester giants too this month, as he continues to struggle for playing time in the French capital following the signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe last summer.
Although he hasn’t explicitly named United as the team he wants to go to, these comments paired with recent speculation would suggest that a move isn’t far off for the 25-year-old.
“I do not think I’m going to stay,” he is quoted as saying by The Express. “Unfortunately, it’s the end for me in Paris. I like the English championship.
“The English league is the most hotly contested in the world, it’s going to depend (on several factors).”
Whether a deal for Sanchez ends United’s interest in Moura remains to be seen, as it could be argued that Jose Mourinho doesn’t need to add two more attacking players to his squad.
With the likes of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata all battling for places behind the main striker, it could lead to an overload in that department if Moura and Sanchez arrived this month.
