Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has reportedly lost the dressing room at Stamford Bridge and now retains the support of just one first-team player.
According to ESPN Brasil, the Chelsea crisis is at the level of when Jose Mourinho left the Blues in the first half of the 2015/16 campaign, when the team’s confidence just seemed to fall apart.
It’s certainly evident on the pitch right now that all is not well at Chelsea, with the Premier League champions winning just two of their last nine games in all competitions.
There seems no hope that they can retain their title this term as they look set instead to scrap it out for a top four place between now and May.
ESPN Brasil claim Cesar Azpilicueta is now Conte’s sole supporter at the club, with the rest of the players losing faith in him after his rows with Diego Costa and David Luiz.
Another report from the Daily Express has claimed the Italian tactician may just be one defeat away from the sack, with the Monday night trip to Watford looking like a must-win right now.
Conte made a great start to life at Chelsea last season, winning the Premier League title and reaching the FA Cup final before a significant dip in performances in his second season.
