Barcelona have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Willian, after it was reported that Man United are unwilling to meet Chelsea’s £70M asking price that they have for the Brazilian.

The Daily Star are stating that the Barcelona are keen on bringing Willian to the Camp Nou this summer, with the Blaugrana also having a £50M bid for the former Shakhtar man turned down by the Blues.

The Sun have reported that the Red Devils are unwilling to meet Chelsea £70M asking price that the club have for Willian, and that despite this, they still remain keen on the Brazilian, something that means that Barcelona, should they be willing to pay £70M for Willian, would be ahead of United in race for the player.

It’s easy to see why so many clubs are after Willian, as the Brazilian wide-man had an impressive season for Chelsea, and has also impressed during his time with Brazil at this summer’s World Cup.

The 29-year-old scored 13 and assisted 12 in 55 appearances in all competitions for the west London side last term, something that helped the club claim their first FA Cup title since 2012.

It seems that, if Barcelona are willing to pay Chelsea’s asking price, Barca fans may just have a new name to cheer at the Nou Camp for this season ahead.
