Some England fans are calling for Jordan Pickford to get a knighthood after his absolutely stunning performance against Sweden in today’s World Cup quarter-final.
The Everton goalkeeper has made a series of fine saves to keep the Swedes out, with his performance key as England look set to book their place in the World Cup semi-finals.
The Three Lions also relied on Pickford as they went through on penalties against Colombia, and he’s quickly becoming one of the country’s heroes.

Arguably one of the finest performers in Gareth Southgate’s side this summer in Russia, could Pickford soon become Sir Jordan?
Some fans certainly think so, with a few getting a bit carried away by today’s game and with the ‘keeper’s performance in particular.
Here’s a selection of the best tweets praising the 24-year-old, who wasn’t even the biggest name or an automatic shoe-in to be number one before this tournament, but who is now on his way to cementing legendary status for himself…
