Antonio Conte has reportedly been sacked as Chelsea manager, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio on Twitter.

Conte’s future has been the subject of much speculation for some time now, and it looks as though the former Juventus boss has now been dismissed at Stamford Bridge.

At the time of writing, Chelsea are yet to make any official announcement on Conte’s position.

Calciomercato reported last week that a move to replace Conte with former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri could be in the works, and it is now suggested that the 2016/17 Premier League winner will be replaced by his fellow countryman imminently.

Another Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, claims Sarri will be Chelsea’s manager within hours, and he’ll bring Napoli midfielder Jorginho with him to CFC.

Conte spent just two seasons in charge of Chelsea, winning the title in 2016/17 and the FA Cup the following year, though the side slumped all the way down to fifth in the table, missing out on a Champions League place for next season.

Unsurprisingly, this now looks to have cost Conte his job as Roman Abramovich makes yet another in a long line of managerial changes with Chelsea.
