Chelsea star Eden Hazard is reportedly keeping his options open as Manchester City are mentioned as joining the running for his signing in this transfer window.

The Belgium international’s future is up in the air at the moment, with a number of top clubs linked with snapping him up from a Blues outfit that struggled last season and missed out on a Champions League place.

Sport have linked Hazard with Barcelona, while Real Madrid are also said to be confident of signing him within the next seven days, according to Don Balon.

It remains to be seen how this will pan out, but the latest from Don Balon is that Manchester City could also be keen to join the running and that Hazard wouldn’t be against a move to a Premier League rival.

The Spanish outlet explains that City are very much a finished product ready to deliver major trophies, whereas Real Madrid remain more of a work in progress after losing star player Cristiano Ronaldo this summer and finishing quite far behind Barcelona in the La Liga title race last season, ending up in third.

Chelsea’s Eden Hazard is reportedly ready to seal a transfer to Manchester City

Chelsea would surely love to avoid losing Hazard to City, who already boast the best squad in the Premier League and won the title rather comfortably last season.

Adding the 27-year-old forward would only make next season’s title race even more one-sided and surely give CFC a mountain to climb in terms of getting back into the top four.
