Man United and France star Paul Pogba had the tournament of his life at the World Cup in Russia, with it now seeming like the player’s summer could be about to get a bit more wilder.
The French international played in every key game for Les Bleus as they went into to beat Croatia 4-2 in the final to secure their second world title.
As per Don Balon, the midfielder is willing to take a pay-cut in order to secure a move to Barcelona this summer, with it also being noted that Pogba is keen to play for the Blaugrana next season.
The same report also states that Pogba is rated by Man United at £134M (€150M), a price that Barcelona are stated as being unwilling to pay.
With Andres Iniesta now gone, and stars such as Andre Gomes and Denis Suarez failing to deliver consistently, this news will be very welcome from Barca.
Despite the fact they manage to secure a league and cup double last season, Barca looked very shaky in parts of the season, with Ernesto Valverde’s side relying on luck more often than not to get them through game.
Not since the days of Xavi have the club had a played that is able to control the game like Pogba, so signing him could be a step forward for the club as they look to go all the way on all fronts next season.
Pogba willing to reduce his wages says a lot about him as a player and a person, and is something that will surely see him loved by Barca fans should he move to the Camp Nou this summer.
