£177m trio tipped for Manchester United, Chelsea’s smart double swoop – most likely transfer deadline day deals based on bookies’ odds

Ladbrokes have kindly been in touch with us to provide you transfer deals that may be worth betting on going through before deadline day, including plenty of potential activity at Manchester United.

Remarkably, the Red Devils continue to be strongly linked with as many as three new centre-backs, with Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld the odds-on favourite at 2/5.

This follows HLN reporting that he’s made it clear to Spurs that he wants out in a £58million deal, while the Daily Mirror yesterday reported the move could go through in 48 hours.

Harry Maguire joining Manchester United is also just 5/4, which could be worth a flurry, though Sky Sports claim he’d cost at least £75m if not more.

And following Bild‘s report of United entering into talks to sign Jerome Boateng for £44m, Ladbrokes also have the Bayern Munich defender at just 2/1 to make the move to Old Trafford.

While it perhaps seems unlikely that Jose Mourinho would splash out £177m for all three, there may well be a chance of two of them coming in as Marcos Rojo is also evens to join Everton.

Harry Maguire is also being tipped for a transfer to Manchester United

As United could do with upgrades on Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof as well, while Eric Bailly has a poor injury record, two new additions seems pretty reasonable, if a tad ambitious.

As well as those three, Chelsea are tipped to sign Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, presumably as ESPN suggest Thibaut Courtois is edging closer to getting his move away from Stamford Bridge.

Ladbrokes also have Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha as just 2/1 to join the Blues.

Here’s their top ten list in full:

Yerry Mina to Everton – SUSPENDED

Lucas Perez to West Ham – 1/3

Toby Alderweireld to Man United – 2/5

Jack Grealish to Tottenham – 8/13

Marcos Rojo to Everton – Evs

Harry Maguire to Man United – 5/4

Kasper Schmeichel to Chelsea – 6/4

Danny Rose to Wolves – 7/4
