Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe is reportedly closing in on a loan transfer to Aston Villa on a 12-month deal.
This is according to the Sun, who report that Tuanzebe is heading back to Villa Park after also spending half of last season on loan there despite trouble with injuries.
The 20-year-old looks a promising talent but managed just five appearances for Steve Bruce’s side, while he’s only managed a total of eight appearances for United’s senior side.

Despite looking a good prospect, playing time looks likely to be limited for Tuanzebe at United in the near future as the club look to strengthen at the back.
Bild report that the Red Devils are in talks to sign Bayern Munich star Jerome Boateng, while the Daily Mirror suggest a deal could be close to raid Tottenham for Toby Alderweireld and Sky Sports link them with Leicester City’s Harry Maguire.
A loan to a team like Villa seems the ideal move for Tuanzebe’s development at this moment in time, and United fans will hope he can now stay injury free and gain the experience he needs to eventually make an impact at Old Trafford.
