Jose Mourinho takes a swipe at Liverpool but Man United boss instantly mocked by these Reds fans

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been quoted as sounding rather grumpy about the big spending in this summer’s transfer market of rivals Liverpool.

Discussing his own side’s relatively quiet summer in which only Fred has come in as an obvious addition to his first XI, Mourinho couldn’t resist a little dig at Liverpool for ‘buying everything and everybody’, as quoted by the Metro.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have added four players to their squad this summer – Naby Keita, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson. Technically, this is just one player more than United, even if Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant are not likely to become regulars.

On top of that, many Liverpool fans on Twitter are now pointing out that United’s net spending since Mourinho took over is still considerably higher than Liverpool’s.
