Christian Pulisic may leave Borussia Dortmund before the transfer deadline with Liverpool well placed to make a bid and complete their summer spending.

At just 19 years of age, Pulisic is among the most promising young players in Europe and has spent the last two years with Borussia Dortmund in Germany. The American midfielder also has 21 caps for his country and has earned widespread praise for his direct style of play and desire to create openings in the final third of the pitch.

According to The Daily Star, who are reporting on Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge’s comments in a transfer news bulletin, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is one of Pulisic’s greatest admirers and he may be tempted to bid for the youngster before the transfer window closes.

Liverpool has already significantly bolstered their squad in the last couple of months, signing the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson among others, but they did also miss out on signing Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir, which could prompt one final move tomorrow.

Bridge was full of praise for the Dortmund star, as The Daily Star reports, and insisted that the Red’s boss usually goes after a player when he is fond of them.

“He is some player. You’d imagine him having interest from all the top European clubs.” said the Football reporter.

“Jurgen Klopp absolutely gets a player when he likes them.”

Liverpool kicks off their latest Premier League campaign on Sunday against West Ham United at Anfield and supporters will hope that the team can challenge Manchester City for the title this season after the recent influx of new signings.
