Journalist who was first to Unai Emery story links Arsenal with £90M deadline day transfer swoop

Journalist Kike Marin, who was one of the first to link Unai Emery with becoming Arsenal manager, has given the club another boost this afternoon. 

Marin has reported on Twitter that the Gunners have tabled a £90M (€100M) bid for Barcelona and France star Ousmane Dembele, however the club will have to be quick with their dealings if they’re to get this one over the line, as there’s just a few hours left of this summer transfer window.

Fans of the north London club will be encouraged to here this from Marin, as the Spaniard was one of the first to link current manager Emery with a switch to the club.

Extremely reliable journalist David Ornstein ended up reporting Emery to Arsenal a few days after Marin had originally tweeted out about the links, something that will surely fill Gunners fans with hope regarding this Dembele story.

Dembele would be a fantastic signing for Emery’s team, as the Frenchman has proved himself to be one of the most exciting and brightest youngsters in world football these past few seasons.

During the winger’s time at Borussia Dortmund, Dembele’s partnership with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was one of the best around, something we’re sure Gunners fans will be hoping to see replicated if their club somehow get a deal for the Frenchman over the line in time.

Only time will tell if the north London side are able to get a deal finalised for Dembele before the 5pm deadline this evening, something we’re sure Arsenal fans are desperate to see happen.
