AS Roma’s official social media account has been quick to poke fun at Manchester United after they opened their Premier League account via a penalty.
Paul Pogba scored United’s opener tonight in their first game of the new league season against Leicester City, from the penalty spot after Amarty handled in the area.
Old Trafford has long been associated with questionable refereeing performances, as officials have often been accused of bias towards the home side, which rival supporters have pointed to over the years as a big factor behind the club’s success.

Tonight, however, that rival does not hail from England but from Italy in the form of Serie A giants Roma, who have posted a tongue in cheek tweet about United’s first goal of the 2018/19 season.
