Chelsea defender Ola Aina is reportedly set to undergo a medical tomorrow ahead of completing a loan with a view to a permanent transfer to Torino.
This is according to trusted Italian source Gianluca Di Marzio, who states the youngster is in Turin today to put the finishing touches on his move away from Stamford Bridge.
Aina has barely played for the Chelsea first-team, having also spent last season out on loan with Hull City in the Championship, making 46 appearances in all competitions.
Still, breaking into this CFC side is a different matter altogether, with plenty of experienced big names ahead of him in the pecking order, and seemingly now ending his career at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea aren’t exactly known for handing opportunities to their youth team players, and it has backfired on occasion.
Players like Kevin De Bruyne and Mohamed Salah were with the west Londoners as youngsters, but were overlooked and sold before going on to become world class for Premier League rivals Manchester City and Liverpool, respectively.
Aina probably hasn’t shown that kind of potential so far, but some fans may want to keep an eye on how the 21-year-old gets on in Serie A.
