Real Madrid president holds direct talks with player over transfer deal for €250m star

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has spoken to golden-boy Marco Asensio over a potential transfer to Paris Saint Germain.

Perez intends to use Asensio in a potential swap deal bringing down the potential €250m cost of superstars Neymar or Kylian Mbappe, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon.

Judging by this report, Madrid looks as if they are on the lookout for a new ‘Galactico’ signing following the shock exit of Cristiano Ronaldo to Serie A champions Juventus this summer.

Either Mbappe or Neymar joining would massively lift the spirits of Real fans.

Either superstar could dominate alongside stars such as Casemiro and Raphael Varane – who are already considered as some of the best in their positions despite only being aged 26 and 25 years old respectively.

The prospect of Mbappe joining would surely be more appealing to Los Blancos, fans with the Frenchman coming into the new season on a massive high after lifting the World Cup with France this summer.

Mbappe was the young player of the tournament in Russia this summer, scoring 4 goals as he helped Les Bleus lifting the Jules Rimet trophy.

According to the same report from Don Balon, it is understood that Asensio isn’t keen on the prospect of leaving Los Blancos, as new manager Julen Lopetegui intends to use the 22-year-old in a much more advanced role playing off the striker where the Spain international could flourish.
