Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil will feel he made his point to manager Unai Emery as he returned to the team against Burnley today.
The former Germany international has found himself out of his manager’s thinking in recent times, either being forced to remain on the bench or not even making the matchday squad on a couple of occasions.
Today, however, Emery restored Ozil to his first XI and made him captain, with the 30-year-old playing a key role in the team’s 3-1 victory.
So could this be a subtle nod to Emery in his tweet afterwards as Ozil speaks of his joy to be able to help the team today…?
#YaGunnersYa ?? Very valuable 3 pts won! Glad I could help the team today ?? #M1Ö #COYG #ARSBUR @Arsenal @premierleague pic.twitter.com/EQgyFtHH7R

The image shows Ozil celebrating with Alex Iwobi, and it seems pretty clear he really does relish being able to contribute something to this squad.
Food for thought for Emery ahead of the busy Christmas and New Year period…
