Jurgen Klopp has no intention of sending Liverpool ace out on loan this month

It’s been another tough season for Adam Lallana, but reports claim that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp doesn’t want to see him leave on loan in January and still has faith in his ability to play a key role for the Reds.

The 30-year-old has been limited to just eight appearances in all competitions so far this season, totalling just over 300 minutes of football as injuries and his fitness have been an issue again.

In turn, at this stage of his career, it arguably makes most sense for him to move on and find a more prominent role elsewhere to enjoy regular playing time.

However, it appears as though Klopp still values what the England international can offer to the team, as Sky Sports note that the German tactician is more interested in bringing him back into the fold rather than sending him out on loan.

With that in mind, it seems that an exit this month is highly unlikely and so it remains to be seen if Lallana can play a key role in helping Liverpool continue to compete on multiple fronts in the second half of the campaign.

Assuming he can steer clear of injuries and get back to full fitness, he could be a key addition to Klopp’s options as he looks to maintain their push for the Premier League title while also extending their run in the Champions League and challenge for the FA Cup.

Squad depth will be fundamental in making that happen, and so despite Sky Sports noting that Fenerbahce were linked with a swoop this month, it seems Lallana’s more immediate future lies on Merseyside as Klopp seemingly still has plenty of faith in him.
