Martial has been in fine form for much of this season, but had previously not always been trusted by old manager Jose Mourinho.
But with the Portuguese now gone and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer making a great start as interim manager, Martial now seems set to change his mind about leaving the club and will commit his future with a new long-term deal instead, according to the Times.
Martial is a big fan favourite at United, so fans will be delighted with this news, which only further vindicates the club’s decision to sack Mourinho.
The Red Devils were not going anywhere under his guidance, and seemed a demoralised group of players before Solskjaer came in to lift the mood in the camp.
Even if the Norwegian tactician does not stay on beyond this season, he’s really made his mark and helping to keep Martial will be one of the most important things he does in his time in Manchester.
