‘Another 5-1 loading’ – These fans react to Real Madrid’s starting eleven for El Clasico

The lineups are out for tonight’s El Clasico, Barcelona will host Real Madrid in the first leg of the Copa Del Rey Semi-final. These fans aren’t happy with the Madrid team.

Santiago Solari has made some big calls for tonight’s clash, the former Real Madrid Castilla boss has left out Gareth Bale for teenage sensation Vinicius Junior, the Argentine has also decided against playing Sergio Reguilon – who has been impressive as of late.

Marcelo will take the left-back spot for Madrid, one another big call is the decision to leave Casemiro out for Marcos Llorente – although Madrid is quite literally in Llorente’s blood so the 24-year-old will know just how important tonight’s clash is.

Llorente’s father – Paco – represented Madrid over 100 times during a 7-year spell with the club. The defensive-midfielder is also the great-nephew of one of Real Madrid’s greatest players of all time – Francisco Gento.

The pressure is on for Santiago Solari to lead Madrid to a victory that would see them avenge their embarrassing 5-1 defeat to Barcelona earlier in the season – this result also saw the doomed Julen Lopetegui sacked.

If there are any question marks over Solari’s appointment as Madrid’s permanent boss – they can be put to bed by knocking Barcelona out of the cup, Madrid need to impress in the first leg and show that they aren’t pushovers.

Solari has certainly taken some risks with his team selection tonight, leaving Bale on the bench has sparked an angry response from some fans – but given the Welshman’s style of play he could be a perfect impact player in the second half.

Unfortunately, Isco’s exclusion from the starting eleven continues – truly mind boggling – it wasn’t too long ago that the playmaker was leading some of Barcelona’s players as Spain captain.

Check out some reaction to the lineup below:

With all due respect to Valencia and Real Betis, the winner of this Semi-final clash will be tipped to go on and lift the cup, given that this could be the only silverware that Madrid win all season – Los Blancos should be putting their all into tonight’s clash.
