Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski scored his record-breaking 41st Bundesliga goal of the season in Saturday night’s 5-2 win over Augsburg.
The strike, which arrived dramatically in the final minute of play, moves the Poland international ahead of Gerd Muller, who managed 40 league goals in the 1971/72 season.
It was a powerful moment in both Lewandowski and Bayern’s history, with Manuel Neuer running the full length of the pitch to celebrate with the 32-year-old.
