Wednesday night sees Man City staring destiny in the face with a win over Real Madrid in the second-leg of their Champions League semi-final taking them into a final against either Milan or Internazionale, and Pep Guardiola has sought to put everyone’s mind at rest.
To this point, the Catalan genius has often been accused of overthinking his starting XIs in the big games, and that’s been used as a stick to beat him with when City have, inevitably, ended up on the losing side.
On this occasion, Guardiola took the sting out of his pre-match press conference with a light-hearted moment when he said that “I’m not overthinking tomorrow.”
City fans will surely be relieved to hear that.
