talkSPORT pundit Shebahn Aherne has praised Ange Postecoglou for coming to Spurs and changing the mood, overcoming the “poisoned chalice”.
Aherne has praised Postecoglou and what he has done in his short time as Spurs boss, starting the season nine games unbeaten and sitting on top of the Premier League.
She called him “a special person” and a “special manager” for achieving what he has so far after losing Tottenham’s star man Harry Kane in the summer.
Aherne did also slam on the breaks, saying she and other Spurs fans shouldn’t get carried away as it is only nine games into the season, playing five of the bottom seven teams in their opening nine fixtures.

Tottenham have returned to the top of the Premier League after beating Fulham 2-0 on Monday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Spurs job could be referred to as a “poisoned chalice” due to previous Premier League finishes in 8th and 7th in the past three years (finishing 4th in the 2021/22 season). With many Tottenham fans unhappy with these finishes and the mood around the club.
However this is evidentially changing under Postecoglou, with fans excited about the football they are playing, and the atmosphere change around the club.
