Former Premier League manager wants to replace Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich

As pressure mounts on Thomas Tuchel, Antonio Conte is reportedly eager to take over as manager of Bayern Munich.

The German giants’ season is in danger of collapsing after losing their last three games. They trail 1-0 going into the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 match against Lazio and are presently eight points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.

As they consider switching up in the dugout, Bayern are reportedly keeping an eye on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the former manager of Manchester United, as well as Xabi Alonso and Hansi Flick. Tuchel seems to be clinging to his position.

However, Bild claims that Conte has declared Bayern to be his “dream club” and is interested in taking Tuchel’s place.

The former manager of Chelsea and Tottenham has not had a job since departing Spurs in March of last year.

In addition to his four Italian titles with Juventus and Inter Milan, he won the Premier League with Chelsea in 2016–17.

The 54-year-old is now focused on winning the Bundesliga and wants to lead Bayern back to victory from the sidelines.

After working together at Spurs, Conte and Harry Kane would reunite if the Italian moved to Bayern.

According to Christian Falk of Bild, Bayern is also watching Flick, who helped them win a historic treble in 2020. Surprisingly, Sebastian Hoeness, the manager of Stuttgart, is on their list of possible Tuchel successors.

Although Tuchel has the support of Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen for the time being, the former Chelsea manager is running out of time to make things right.

His Bayern team suffered a shocking 3-2 loss at VfL Bochum on Sunday after being completely destroyed by Leverkusen in the league earlier this month.
