Ever since Ange Postecoglou arrived at Tottenham there’s been a different vibe about the place.
The no-nonsense Australian has definitely hit a sweet spot amongst the White Hart Lane faithful, who quite clearly love his honesty when dealing with the media as much as they enjoy his style of football.
After some dour years under the likes of Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, Spurs are back to their swashbuckling best and they’ve been a joy to watch.
Silverware has escaped them to date, but if Postecoglou’s project is for the long-term, and nothing he’s said or done to this point would suggest otherwise, then trophies and titles should follow in due course if their journey under the manager continues on an upward trajectory.
It definitely appears that Postecoglou knows exactly what he wants from his players and just as importantly who he wants.
For example, no one else would touch Timo Werner with a barge pole. Spurs jumped to the head of the queue and now the former Chelsea flop is showing signs of the form which earned him a move to the Blues in the first place.
Tottenham want Dani Rodriguez
According to reports detailed by Fichajes, it isn’t just players that are ready for the first-team immediately that interest the Australian.
The outlet note that Barcelona’s talented 18-year-old, Dani Rodriguez, is being targeted as a possible Bosman transfer this summer.
His current contract situation isn’t 100 percent clear apparently, and until that’s fully cleared up, Spurs don’t know where they stand.
It’s good to see some planning for the future as well as the present from the North Londoners in any event.
