Video: Incredible Leverkusen score in sixth minute of injury time to preserve unbeaten record

Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen side just never know when they’re beaten, and they somehow kept their unbeaten record intact thanks to a 97th minute equaliser against Roma from Josip Stanisic.

The hosts had enjoyed the majority of possession and chances in the game, but an inspired performance from Mile Svilar in the Roma goal kept Leverkusen at bay.

Roma would take a two-goal lead thanks to two Leandro Parades penalties, but Gianluca Mancini’s own goal on 82 put Leverkusen ahead in the tie, and within one goal of setting a new European football unbeaten record of 49 games.

That duly arrived when Stanisic scored with the final kick of the game.
