Wayne Rooney narrated a hilarious story about bumping into Micah Richards, leaving the studio in stitches during the BBC’s FA Cup final coverage.

Rooney, Richards, Gary Lineker, and Alan Shearer were discussing their past encounters when Rooney shared a memorable moment.

Rooney described how he once bumped into Richards celebrating his 50th Premier League appearance at Wing’s Chinese restaurant in Manchester.

While Rooney was having a quiet meal with his family, Richards arrived with about 20 friends to celebrate what Rooney thought was an amusingly extravagant occasion for an otherwise insignificant milestone.

He narrated:

“I’d actually seen Micah in Wing’s Chinese restaurant, I was in there with family, quiet meal.

“Micah comes in with about 20 of his guys, walks in, and they’re celebrating… I was thinking, ‘What are they celebrating?’

“It was Micah had made his 50th Premier League appearance.”

The story left the studio in stitches, before Richards said:

“It’s the Premier League, it’s a big thing. It was a big thing for me Wayne.”Why did you have to say that?”
