Arsenal are planning to hold talks over a potential transfer move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, who can leave for around €60m this summer.

Sources with a close understanding of the situation have informed CaughtOffside that the Gunners remain keen on Vlahovic, who has long been a player on their radar.

The Serbia international is yet to sign a new contract at Juventus, and that looks likely to lead to his departure this summer, with Manchester United also on alert as they consider a number of options to strengthen up front.

“It’s MY fault Salah and De Bruyne left Chelsea…” – which Blues legend made this HUGE admission?

Arsenal’s interest is understood to be the most concrete, however, and sources have indicated that the north London giants could step up their efforts with talks soon.

It’s an open secret that Arsenal want a new striker in the summer, with the club also considering moves during the January transfer window, seeing a bid for Ollie Watkins rejected by Aston Villa.

Is Dusan Vlahovic the man to solve Arsenal’s problems up front?

Vlahovic is not the only name on Arsenal’s list, with Mikel Arteta also known to be a huge fan of Alexander Isak, though the Newcastle striker looks an unrealistic target at this point.

Others such as Benjamin Sesko are likely to come into consideration again, but Vlahovic’s likely availability means he’s also an option.

One imagines some Arsenal fans might be unconvinced by the 25-year-old, who hasn’t quite found his best form at Juve, but Arteta may perhaps feel confident he can help the player improve.

Vlahovic could also be an interesting option for Man Utd, who are pretty desperate for changes in attack after such a poor season from young dup Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund.

Marcus Rashford’s future is also in doubt after his loan move to Aston Villa, so there’s a clear and obvious need for the Red Devils to bring someone in up front and to not be too picky about it.

  1. How come we sold Biereth without a buy-back clause?
By January he had shown what he could be and Monaco took advantage for just 11M. Now he will be worth tens of millions after leaving Arsenal for only 1 season.

In just 1 season we lost Biereth and Obi and we are in the market looking for attackers that would cost the club a lot.

Buy Vlahovic and either Watkins or Ekitike. Stop the chase of Issaac. We need 2 strikers especially those that can also operate in the wings

  2. Arsenal should just stop dreaming and talking about good seeds yet they are not planted in the garden
