Arsenal reportedly feel disappointed after a frustrating summer that saw them miss out on exciting transfer targets such as Morgan Rogers and Vinicius Junior.
The Gunners are now surely out of time to get any major business done as the transfer deadline is at 11pm tonight, so just over three hours away at the time of writing.
There doesn’t seem to be anything happening for Arsenal, despite the club clearly trying hard to land a number of elite attacking players.
According to the reliable Hand of Arsenal account, the reigning Premier League champions now feel disappointed with how things worked out as they tried for months to sign Morgan Rogers, though he ended up joining Chelsea.
On top of that, AFC put a lot into what would have been a hugely ambitious deal for Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior, while other big names like Julian Alvarez and Bradley Barcola were explored as options…

Vinicius stayed at Real Madrid, Barcola moved to Liverpool, and Alvarez looks like staying at Atletico Madrid, so that looks like being that for Arsenal.
Do Arsenal have enough in attack?
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta looks like having a tough task ahead of him now as his attack has arguably only got weaker since last season, when it was already a problem area.
Although Arteta’s side won the Premier League title, they relied a lot on their strong defence and good record of scoring from set-pieces.
At times, however, games were a bit too close for comfort due to a lack of spark in the final third.
This was particularly costly for them in the Champions League final, where they were beaten by PSG on penalties after struggling to create much throughout 120 minutes.

Arsenal fans will have been eager to see upgrades brought in on the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Viktor Gyokeres, but it just hasn’t happened.
Christos Tzolis has joined, but he’s relatively young and unproven at the very highest level, so it’s a big ask for him to now be starting regularly for a club with this level of ambition.
Awful window for Arsenal, their attack is their weakest element and they’ve made it worse. Idiots saying its improved tell me how Tzolis who was hooked at halftime yesterday is enough to replace Trossard, Martinelli, Jesus and Nwaneri. The clubs done wonders in goal, defence and midfield but yet again fail to improve their floppy attack. An injury or two and it’ll get messy, especially if Saka is out for a while. It’s going to be another year of disappointing football up front.
Inexcusable to weaken the attack. Someone should be sacked for that failure alone. I mean, aren’t we making money?
Significant failure to get any one of our top 3 attacking targets- one was wrong target who never held back from not wanting to sign for this club- weeks spent wasting everybody’s time mainly ours. The other 2 – club engaged in deception talking about wanting top players but not willing to pay anything like market price for top players in their prime. Now rivals strengthened at our expense. Club fixated on reducing wage bill losing experienced players have left attack too weak. Disappointing to see Champions behaving like a mid table club.
