Is American or Dubai investor reading this? If so, then you are well in for some treat! Team Talk reports that Premiership club Portsmouth are up for grabs as the club’s owner Alexandre Gaydamak is readying himself to announce the sale of the south coast club.
Gaydamak took over the club just 18 months ago and in his first season as owner of Pompey, he saw the club finish 9th in the English Premier League, Pompey’s highest position in the league in 50 years. This season, Portsmouth are actually gunning for a UEFA Cup spot and manager Harry Redknapp has been given with the funds that he needs to make the necessary signings this month.
Yet for some reason or the other Gaydamak is bracing himself to sell the club for around £60 million; that’s at least £15 million more than he invested in the club. Must make some good business, eh! And now that the word SALE is out, rest assured that we would be hearing about a string of potential buyers in the coming days.
