Lampard’s red card against West Ham rescinded

It is reported that Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has had his red card against West Ham United rescinded by the Football Association. The England international midfielder was shown a direct red card during the clubs’ clash with each other in the English Premier League on Saturday after Lampard was judged to have slapped West Ham’s Luis Boa Morte.

But Lampard appealed to the FA on Monday and he now has been granted the request. This implies that Lampard wouldn’t have to serve the customary 3-match and that he shall be available for Chelsea’s FA Cup tie with Barnsley.

Moreover, he will also feature against Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premiership and now that the Premiership race is reaching its climax, Chelsea manager Avram Grant does need all his best players on the pitch.
