Spurs to solve long term problem: ONE £6m star out ONE Free transfer in!

Not only does this transfer rumour couplet sound like it could solve a nightmare problem at WHL it also seems to make great financial sense also!

£6m rated Tottenham Paul Robinson has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane with Middlesbrough and Manchester City touted as potential suitors. (Evening Gazette)

French international Goalkeeper Gregory Coupet has played his last game for Lyon. Coupet, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, confirmed he has quit the club he has been at for more than a decade. (various)

Coupet is a proven performer; Robbo is a little bit of a laughing stock, how can Tottenham lose! Yes the French veteran is a bit on the old side but he doesn’t appear to have lost any ability, the 35 year old guided Lyon to the title (yes, yet another one!) and will be at Euro 2008 (albeit maybe not first choice). Do Spurs fans feel that Robinson has made his last fumble in a Tottenham shirt? Would Coupet me an able replacement?
