Arsenal midfielder wants his Spanish team-mate at the Emirates
by stresster on June 11th, 2008Although you would imagine that the Gunners will have some pretty stiff competition, if indeed they are interested in landing David Villa this summer. The Valencia striker is arguably Europe’s hottest striking property at the moment after plundering a hat-trick for Spain on Tuesday night, and Setanta report that Cesc Fabregas is getting positively excited at the prospect of the striker wearing the red of Arsenal next season.
“He would be amazing for the English league,” Fabregas said.
“I would like to have him in my team because as you can see he can make the difference.
“He’s an amazing player. He has mobility, he scores goals … he plays well at the back of defenders, in front of them, he’s a tremendous player.”
Indeed, while all the talk before the match was about Fernando Torres, the Liverpool man was more of a provider than scorer during their 4-1 win against Russia. Still, it was encouraging for Reds fans to see El Nino frighten the opposition defence with his pace, something they’ll hope he continues next season.

am I the only one who doesn’t see what all the fuss is about - yes he scored a hat trick which is admirable but he also fired two shots straight at the keeper.
and 2 out of his three goals were tap-ins
not taking anything away from the guy, I haven’t seen anywhere enough of him to know how good he is and to be honest he must be pretty good to keep Raul out of the side but 25M for someone over 25??
might be worth it but from looking at him he would need a decent service from the midfield for it to work.

to ray parlour for president:
so wot if he scores tap ins, goals r wot gts results n results gt the points at the end of the day n thts all tht matters.
u forget half of Ades goals where tap ins last season ( altho he did score sum belters) so does it reli matter if he doesnt score quality goals. having said tht the goal he scored against russia frm fabregas ball was top quality. but still it doesnt matter whether u score frm 40 yards or 4, goals r goals.

Sell Ades.
1) He sucks, though he score 24 goals this season but he missed 100 over other chances which he should have converted. His strike rate is too low given that he is at Arsenal which he have very strong midfield support to create much more chances for him than elsewhere. For a real class striker like Torres or Eto, they could easily have scored more goals.
2) He is too greedy and demand high wages. His commitment towards Arsenal is in doubt. So sell him while the price is right and high.
For god’s sake get a real good striker like Villa.
1) He is definitely in a different league compare to Ades. He got high strike rate, superb skill and real class.
2) His cost is much lower than the profit we might have made in selling Ades. By purchasing him, it will make Fabregas happier and more determined to stay put at Arsenal.

no chance of him coming to the emirates… especially after the hattrick his star value has only increased and the Real MAD-rid guys will shel out crazy cash 2 get him… after all if they can spend 100 million for ronaldo and stil not get him then tat money’s gonna go waste…
so they’ll snap him … or maybe chelsea… but wenger will never sign him for tat kinda money…. maybe if valencia settle for nything less than 20… then mayb wenger may get tempted to make a bid… but the guys in valencia aint fools to sell a stud for such a low price…

pretty football boy as said before he may be amazing but I can’t say I have seen enough of him to comment on it. To me though against Russia he didn’t look THAT special.
will be interesting to see how he does in the rest of the tournament though and, to be fair his goalscoring record for his country does suggest he is beyond reasonable…
and Wenger does have some money to spend - he may also decide to spend it to keep Fabregas happy, we shall see

I think Fabregas has made right discision of bringing David Villa home because he will a difference better than Ade and he will be real good playing with Van Perisa. So I wish Menger will buy him and it ‘ll be the best news for us as Arsenal fans.

wud be great, but i wud prefer Silva….
villa will cost too much for wenger, n he will jus buy equally good class for cheaper price.
however, he rates silva highly n wud pay almost nefin to gt him.
instead of villa wenger shud buy martins from newcastle, he has potential to be quality, but bein with the toons has dented his performance… wenger shud gt him
