Simon Kjaer insists he is happy to remain with German side Wolfsburg according to Tutto Mercato Web.

The Danish centre back has been in good form for his side this season and has said that he is enjoying life at the German side.

A number of top European sides have been linked with the player’s signature in the past. Liverpool are thought to be one of the clubs monitoring the player’s availability as they believe Kjaer to be the perfect replacement for the retiring Jamie Carragher.

But the Anfield side may find themselves restricted by the price fee Kjaer would command as Brendan Rodgers has been told he will have just £20 million to spend on new recruits this summer.

Kjaer expressed his desire to stay at the club for as long as they still want him.

But the Danish international insisted he would not create any problems for Wolfsburg should the club decide to move him on come the summer.

Kjaer found himself out of favour at the club during the reign of Felix Magath that led to the player going out on loan to Italian side Roma.

The player has since patched up his relationship with the club since Magath’s departure and the arrival of sporting director Klaus Allofs.
