Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is set to cut short his summer holiday in order to have talks with Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers and chief executive Ian Ayre according to the Daily Mirror.

The striker will return to England after the Confederations Cup and will try and force his way out of Anfield, with Real Madrid ready to pounce.

Suarez has been linked with a move away from Anfield since the end of the season following a number of high profile controversies.

He has said that he felt victimised by the English press after he appeared to bite Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic during a Premier League game and since then he has appeared to hint that he wants to move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Madrid are circling for the striker and are ready with a £40 million bid.

Liverpool have publicly stated their intention to keep Suarez at the club despite the controversy that seems to surround him but if the striker continues to flirt with Madrid and ask to leave Anfield, the club may have no choice but to sell.

Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also reportedly interested in the Uruguay international.
