Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata could leave the club this summer following a contract dispute with new boss Jose Mourinho, the Daily Mirror reports.

Speculation has grown over the past few weeks that Mata could leave Chelsea, with new boss Mourinho looking to sign another player-maker and cash in on the Spaniard.

Reports in Spain suggest that Mourinho has blocked a wage increase that Mata was due following his stellar performances for the club last season.

This has caused a rift between the player and his new manager and has put Barcelona on red alert.

The club are said to be monitoring the situation and are ready to bid £30 million for the Spanish play-maker, who is currently on international duty at the Confederations Cup.

Barcelona were interested in signing Mata two years ago but decided to sign Alexis Sanchez instead.

Now the club are set to sell Sanchez, along with striker David Villa and midfielder Thiago, to raise funds for the signing of Mata.

Chelsea have rejected the story that Mata is unsettled at the club and have said that the midfielder still has three years left on his contract, which he signed two years ago following his £23 million move from Valencia.
