Liverpool have re-ignited their interest in Blackpool winger Tom Ince as their interest in Porto winger Christan Atsu has waned, Goal.com reports.

The Reds will join Swansea and Cardiff in a bidding war for the England under 21 international and are set to bid £8 million for the youngster this week, who is a product of the Liverpool youth academy.

Cardiff have already had a bid of £8 million accepted by Blackpool while their Welsh rivals Swansea also look set to make a bid for Ince.

However, Liverpool will more than likely find themselves favourites if they do move for Ince and were close to signing the winger in January but couldn’t agree on a fee with Blackpool, so the move fell through.

Liverpool were interested in signing Porto’s Christan Atsu but their interest has waned of late meaning they will now turn their attention to Ince.

Brendan Rodgers has had a busy summer at Liverpool as the club have already sign Simon Mignolet, Luis Alberto, Kolo Toure and Iago Aspas but the Welshman is determined to add a quality wide player to his squad before the start of next season.

Ince looks to be their target now but Blackpool manager Paul Ince has said that there is still a chance that the winger could stay with the Tangerines this summer.
