Borussia Dortmund could be set to offer star striker Robert Lewandowski to Premier League sides for just £7m this January as they seek to prevent him joining their rivals Bayern Munich on a free transfer next summer, the Daily Star reports.

The prolific Polish international is rated as one of the best strikers in the world at the moment, and has been chased by a whole host of top clubs around Europe for much of the last year, though he has supposedly had his heart set on a controversial move to Dortmund’s rivals Bayern.

In a bid to prevent Lewandowski leaving for free next season, Dortmund will offer the 25-year-old for a cut-price deal this January, which is sure to interest the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.

The London pair in particular are keen to sign a new striker to bolster their options upfront, and would see a £7m deal for a player of Lewandowski’s ability as a real bargain, though it remains to be seen if he is willing to give up on a move to Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering side.

The Dortmund hit-man scored 36 goals last season to fire his side to the Champions League final, and has nine in as many games so far this season.
