Emirates Stadium side look to Etihad Stadium man to strengthen back-line.
Arsenal are set to re-ignite their interest in Man City defender Micah Richards as a potential replacement for French full-back Bacary Sagna according to the Daily Star.
The £10m rated England man, who can play at right-back or in a central defensive role, could be seen as the ideal man to take Sagna’s spot with the 30 year old seemingly set to join PSG in the summer when his Gunners contract comes to an end.
Though Wenger can call upon youngster Carl Jenkinson the Arsenal manager is said to be keen on bringing in adaptable 25 year old Richrds who is struggling to secure a regular spot in Manuel Pellegrini’s first team set-up and has made just two Premier League appearances this season.
Richards is also out of contract in the summer and may well feel the time is right to pursue a fresh challenge after nine seasons in the Man City first team.
The Birmingham born defender has made a total of 237 appearances for Man City and has 13 national team caps to his name.
