The Blues already brought in Mohamed Salah and Nemanja Matic during the January transfer window, but the club are set to continue their overhaul this summer and CaughtOffside understands that both Abramovic and Jose Mourinho are in agreement that they can slip under the radar and steal the paid away from the Russian capital.

Chelsea have been linked with both players at various points in the past, but are now ready to make their move in light of the recent changes surrounding the side.

Dzagoev has been a long time target of several clubs across Europe since breaking onto the scene as a 16-year-old with Akademiya Tolyatti, but CSKA were the lucky ones that managed to sign him up.

He has often resisted the advances of overseas clubs and rejected speculation as soon as it cropped up, but now at the age of 23 he feels that the time could be right to move abroad and test himself at another level of football. Inter Milan has been said to be keeping an eye on him with a view to making their own move, but he is not said to be keen on a move to Italy and Abramovic has promised the club that he will look after the Russian international personally.

The Blues are also wanting to bring Ivorian striker Seydou Doumbia as they see him as a solution to their striker problems after he enjoyed yet another prolific season in front of goal.

The 26-year-old has already bagged himself 12 goals in ten games this season and doesn’t look like slowing down.

Like Dzagoez, though, he has also been on the wish lists of several top European sides since last summer, and though there may be competition for his services, Mourinho has made a top quality striker his number one priority this time around as Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba have all failed to live up to expectations this term.

It is though the the pair will cost the west London side somewhere in the region of £45m.
