Lukas Podolski has had an up and down time of it in his second season at the Emirates Stadium and speculation has been rife about a potential Bundesliga return for the experienced forward, such has been his on the whole ineffective campaign for the Gunners.
In his first season at the club the 28 year old netted 16 goals in all competitions and provided a mountain of assists but in 2013/14 the former Koln man has managed just five Premier League starts and has been unable to offer Olivier Giroud the support he so dearly needs up front.
Podolski is still very much a fan favourite but that seems less down to his performances on the pitch and more due to his obvious love of the club and his infectious character.
