Check in to Cardiff City vs Liverpool

Liverpool are one of a host of clubs said to be on ‘alert’ following news that Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez is considering his future at the Bernabeu.

Football Direct News claim that the 21 year old could be set to leave the Spanish giants, this despite the fact that the attacker has jumped ahead of Alvaro Morata in Carlo Ancelotti’s pecking order.

Jese has impressed when called upon this season, netting eight goals and providing four assists in the 30 appearances he has made this term. However 19 of those appearances came from the bench so perhaps the Spanish Under 21 international feels he deserves regular first team football.

Ancelotti has seen his attacking trio of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale working superbly well, helping Real Madrid to put together a 30 match unbeaten run, so it’s not surprising that Jese would be left to bide his time.

Brendan Rodgers may well look to strengthen his attacking options this summer and could make room for Rodriguez by selling Fabio Borini and Iago Aspas and it may well be worth approaching Ancelotti with a loan offer for the youngster.

Clearly if Liverpool qualify for the Champions League then a move to Anfield will become all the more attractive to Jese.
