Inter Milan’s new president Erick Thohir is ready to conduct a major squad re-shuffle and has earmarked a move for two Chelsea strikers according to Football Direct News.

The San Siro side have experienced a few lean years of late and are unlikely to be able to offer any prospective target the opportunity to compete in the Champions League next term but that didn’t prevent them from securing Man United centre-back Nemanja Vidic.

Thohir wants to bring in either Fernando Torres or Samuel Eto’o with both players likely to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the current campaign.

30 year old Spaniard Torres has never come close to justifying his £50m price-tag and Chelsea may well have ran out of patience with the former Liverpool man after another ineffective campaign.

Torres has netted just four goals in 23 Premier League appearances this season.

Eto’o’s short term Blues contract expires in the summer and his relationship with Jose Mourinho is said to be frosty following the Chelsea manager’s comments regarding the Cameroon international’s ‘actual’ age.

That said, Eto’o’s form has actually picked up in recent months and his return of 11 goals in 19 starts is all the more impressive given his record in matches against major sides, netting against both Tottenham and Arsenal in recent weeks as well as grabbing a hat-trick against Man United in January.
