The Wales international injured his thigh muscle playing against West Ham United at Upton Park in the Premier League all the way back on Boxing Day.

And initially the player was ruled out of action for between six and eight weeks, however, Ramsey then suffered the first of his two setbacks in his recovery process in training, which kept him sidelined for longer than first thought.

However, now Ramsey has again been hit by another delay in the recovery process, as his boss revealed in the aftermath of Tuesday night’s 2-2 draw with Swansea City:  “Ramsey is maybe two weeks. He’s had a setback.

“He’s had some scar tissue, then you have to slow down and the tendon is in a sensitive place. You always have to push but not too far.

“Koscielny is out for a while, after that Ozil is at least two or three weeks.”
