Stamford Bridge side to make mammoth offer for prolific striker.
Chelsea are to step-up their interest in PSG forward Edinson Cavani as they seek to lure the unsettled Uruguayan to Stamford Bridge this summer.
CaughtOffside understands that the west London club have already discussed the availability of the former Napoli man with the Parc des Princes outfit and were not discouraged by the Ligue 1 side’s stance.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho is keen to make sensible moves in the summer transfer window as he looks to make sure Chelsea adhere to UEFA’s FFP (Financial Fair Play) guidelines and as such is looking to offer Brazilian David Luiz in part exchange for Cavani.
PSG manager Laurent Blanc is known to be a fan of the 26 year old Chelsea star, who has played a limited role in first team action since Mourinho’s return to the club.
Luiz has started just 15 of Chelsea’s 34 Premier League fixtures and has more recently used in a defensive midfield role whilst Blanc is looking to bring in the former Benfica man to replace exit bound centre-back Alex.
Cavani is said to be unhappy with his role at PSG, used frequently in a wide attacking berth and playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and a move to Chelsea is said to interest the 27 year old.
During his time in Italy Cavani first impressed at Palermo before rising to prominence with 104 goals in three seasons at the San Paolo before Napoli accepted a bid of around £53m from PSG for the prolific forward last July.
Mourinho sees the acquisition of a fresh striking addition as a priority and is likely to allow both Demba Ba and Samuel Eto’o to leave when their current contracts at the end of the current campaign whilst Spanish flop Fernando Torres could also be offloaded.
